1926 - Grandfather (Harry Schoen), Grandmother (Ida), Fran, Edie, and Vic At The Beach776 viewsHarry and Ida were married Jan. 2, 1915 in Brooklyn. In 1924, the family lived at 336 New Jersey Avenue in Brooklyn. My grandfather Harry (Nov.5, 1892 - Feb.20, 1969) is holding Frances (Sep. 22, 1921 - Jan.20, 2009), and grandmother Ida Strolowitz (1894 - Feb.17, 1946) is holding Edie (Dec.27, 1925 - Feb.7, 1995). My father Vic (March 26, 1916 - Jan.5, 2000) is on the right. Another child, Irving (Feb. 1918 - May 30, 1924), died of Diphtheria. In the mid 1920s, the family moved to Far Rockaway.
In 1930, the family resided at 182 Beach 86th Street in Rockaway; they paid $55 a month rent.
